Your server. Your screen.
TunerNest (formerly e-tv) connects to an e-tv media server to play live channels and personal films. It does not provide a television subscription or discover streaming providers. Use only media you are authorized to access.
Need a hand?
Email contact@virtuixtech.com with “TunerNest support” in the subject. Include your app version, iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, and steps to reproduce the issue. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private playlist URLs.
Connect and start watching
- Ask your server administrator for the TunerNest server address and your login. TunerNest requires its own server API; it does not directly connect to Plex, Jellyfin, or Emby.
- On Add Your Server, enter the full address. Internet-facing servers should use HTTPS. Local servers require local-network permission and a reachable home network.
- Sign in to open Live TV. Choose All Channels, Favorites, or a category to see the channel lineup, then tap a channel to watch. Open Films for seekable media and Continue Watching. Now/Next listings appear when your server provides guide data; sample loops may show “Guide unavailable.”
Connect your media server
TunerNest requires a compatible e-tv media server address and login from your server administrator. Enter that address on Add Your Server. The temporary public sample server was retired on September 15, 2026. If an older app version still shows the demo option, use your own server instead. Existing demo users can choose Change server on the login screen.
When all tuners are busy
Several people can share one live channel. Tap an occupied tuner to join it. If every tuner is playing a different channel, join one of those streams or wait for a slot. Server owners can open Account → Sessions → Free Tuner; this stops that channel for its viewers. Films do not need live-tuner capacity.
Can't connect or play?
- Check the server address, network access, and login with your administrator. The temporary public demo is no longer available.
- If the account expires or is ended by its owner, sign in again.
- For a file that cannot play, ask the administrator to provide a device-compatible MP4. A filename extension alone does not establish codec compatibility.
- Use the player's native controls for full screen, seeking, Picture in Picture, and available AirPlay routes. Your receiver must be reachable on your network.
Avatars and privacy
Avatar choices depend on your installed build. Updated builds offer an on-device comic-style photo and an optional Amazon-drawn avatar. The local option does not upload your photo. Amazon processing requires sharing the prepared selfie and sampled colors with AWS; read the explanation before agreeing. Only an avatar you choose to save is kept as your local profile image. See the privacy policy for processor and retention details.
Release notes
Open the avatar/account menu → Patch & bug notes, or Settings → Release notes & bug fixes in updated builds. You can also read release notes here.
Privacy requests
